Reading Record!

I can't believe it. I've actually finished the book. I started it at 5pm yesterday, its now 2:45pm, and I'm done. I actually slept last night too, what... 8 hours? AND we watched a movie last night too.

I don't think I ever even read a babysitter's club book that fast. I had all of them. up to like 61? and the first 7 "super special" books too. I loved reading those, and I loved buying them with my allowance or babysitting money.

Anyway, I'll be off to the post office (which is conveniently right next to the library) in about an hour, and I'll be getting me another one of these books. :)

Seriously, I can not believe I finished that whole thing in less than a day - (not including sleep...maybe half a day even)! :-o

Okay, babysitter club books were good, but the special edition one rocked the house. I was always so excited because they were so THICK!! Glad you are enjoying a book. Good practice for your exam.

Ann M. Martin was my hero growing up. When I finally grew way out of the BSC books (I was what... 17? when I graduated High School?)... I couldn't bring myself to sell my super specials! They SHOULD still be at my mom's house in Utah. They were always so near and dear to my soul. :)

If you have any other light reading books please feel free to recommend them to me!

shelley - the shopaholic books are so fun. there's a couple in that series... and i hate to say it - harry potter. just start with the first one. you'll be hooked, i swear!

Harry Potter? Seriously? I don't usually like "popular" books... I don't know why... I can't read the work and glory books, I don't know if its for that reason, or if I just can't get interested enough.

I'll try the shopaholic ones, (hopefully they won't make me want to spend money I don't have)... No promises on HP though.

shelley - i picked up harry potter 6 years ago to prove how dumb they were going to be. halfway through the first book, i was out purchasing all of them that were out at the time. which were the first four. my sister heidi, she protested for years. didn't read them until our bookclub challenged everyone to read this summer... most of us just needed to read the 7th one. 2 had to read them all. already, she's on the fifth one. we went to the indigo girls concert last week & while we were stuck in traffic she said "i wish we could apparate" i burst out laughing. you should just give it a try. or read a thousand splendid suns. facinating book. read up on my blog 'bout it.

I don't know why I'm so apprehensive about trying new books... I'm like a little kid with her John Grisham safety net/training wheels...

My husband is going to laugh at me for trying to read Harry Potter... lol

I still have to finish my "Innocent Man" book before I leave for camp on Tuesday, it's due the 4th!

I feel like I'm on a first grader's reading level compared to all you gals. I'm just a little shocked that I read that one book so fast. :) I guess I just really needed a good read. I'll keep trying though, you're quite inspiring!
